Meet Deb Richardson-Moore
Our Member of the Month
Deb Richardson-Moore, former journalist and pastor to homeless citizens, writes murder mysteries, including the upcoming Through Any Window, which will officially launch on March 5 at Cafe and Then Some, 101 College Street, Greenville, SC from 5:00 to 7:30 pm.
Her previous five books include the stand-alone Murder, Forgotten, a finalist for the 2021 Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Award. Deb’s first three novels make up the Branigan Powers mysteries: The Cantaloupe Thief, The Cover Story, and Death of a Jester.

Rosa Seay
Vice President and Treasurer, Rosa Seay is a former Director of Hospital Laboratories in four SC laboratories and also a former science teacher in biology, earth science, and physics. She reads both fiction and non-fiction and has enjoyed being a member of SinC Upstate SC since 2019. Rosa is also an original Website Committee Member responsible for design and member correspondence.

JES Hays
EJ Murray and JES Hays are the President, Secretary, past Member at Large, and member of the Web Site Committee. They live in Upstate SC in a little house filled with books and photographs. When they’re not off in their own little worlds, they can usually be found with a camera in one hand. They have published several short stories in various anthologies, most recently Carolina Crimes: Rock, Roll, and Ruin. JES writes award-winning historical fiction featuring a couple of 1870s outlaws trying (not very hard) to go straight. EJ writes character-driven science fiction that edges into mystery. Pattie Zitricki
Treasurer Pattie Luckino-Zitricki has lived in Greenville, SC for thirty-five years. She grew up close to Pittsburgh, PA. Most of her non-fiction writings take place during the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. She holds a Masters Degree in Special Ed. After teaching, she retired and returned to writing. Humor, drama, and recently, mysteries are her genres. Characters include dogs, family, and long-time friends. Inspirations come from many people and places, such as her many forms of employment before teaching, her husband, daughter, three grandkids, two great-grandsons, and two German Shepherds.
Linda Robertson
Past Secretary, Linda Robertson joined the board of Sisters in Crime of Upstate South Carolina 2022 as a Member at Large. She remains a guiding force behind the design of our new website. When she isn’t working with the Website Committee, she enjoys snuggling up with a great cozy mystery. Her obsession propelled her into authorship in that mystery genre.
She grew up and still lives in Greenville, South Carolina, where her mystery series is set. Her first three cozy mysteries introduce Maggie Stewart and pull you along on Maggie’s journey of mystery and mayhem. Maggie continues to develop and grow in the next two novels of the series.
Linda is now working on a new series of cozy mysteries. Her easy-to-read style and descriptive writing make for an enjoyable book. She released her latest, Murder Strikes the Set, on August 9th.

George Cramer
George Cramer, an enrolled descendant of the Karuk Tribe of California, began his forty-year investigative career in law enforcement and then moved into private and corporate investigations. He earned an MFA at the Institute of American Indian Arts.
As a corporate and private Investigator, he conducted investigations throughout the Americas and Asia. He kept his investigative skills honed by volunteering as an investigator at a California Police Department.

Adrienne Mathues
Adrienne Mathues is a third-generation mystery fanatic. An undergraduate degree in writing and a masters in library science were supposed to cement her permanently in the world of books, but a desire to organize everything created a detour into medical supplies. She has served as treasurer for the South Carolina Writer’s Association, as well as working as an editor on their annual anthology, The Petigru Review. She is writing her first novel, a historical mystery set in 1908 British India, which draws on her passions for research, cultures, and period pieces. When not organizing, reading, or writing she bakes and minds her whippet, Wench.
Merissa Racine
Hi. I’m Merissa Racine. Originally from Long Island, New York, life took me to Miami, Florida for a few years, before moving to Cheyenne, Wyoming, which I now call home.
I am a court stenographer by trade. Working in the court system has enabled me to give the Crawford Mystery Series its unique authenticity. When not working, on weekends I feed the cats at a local animal shelter.
My definition of relaxing is sipping on a cup of coffee while reading a good mystery.
Raegan Teller
Raegan Teller is the award-winning author known for her captivating Enid Blackwell Mystery Series. Cindy Blackburn
Cindy Blackburn writes humor because she thinks grim reality is way overrated. When she’s not thinking up unlikely plot twists or ironing out the quirks and kinks of her lovable characters, you’ll find Cindy taking long walks with hubby, John. Cindy’s favorite TV show is Young Sheldon, her favorite movie is Moonstruck, and her favorite color is purple. Cindy dislikes vacuuming, traffic, and lima beans.

Jay is a former president and VP of the Foothills Writers Guild in Anderson, SC. He currently serves on its Executive Committee as Guild Historian. He grew up in a red-dirt northwest Georgia mill town with more bootleggers than preachers. Jay is a U.S. Naval Air vet who is currently co-authoring Appalachian Tales & Stretched Truths plus Mo’ Appalachian Tales & Stretched Truths with Jim Broome of Chattanooga, TN.

Joan Ramirez
I published my first newspaper article at 9 years of age, and I’ve been writing ever since, including news articles, photojournalisim, and novels. My handbook, The Write Rules, is now in the London Consortium of Libraries. Today, I write historical suspense fiction, including my first-in-series based on the saving of Jewish workers in occupied Paris and the aftermath.
